So there was a short period of time when I was kind of obsessed with East Japanese Restaurant. The sushi was very mediocre, and for the quality the prices really were not that good. But, you see, the sushi came to you on a conveyor belt. They would glide by, you'd pick your favorites, and at the end they'd charge you based on the number and color of the plates in front of you. Having dinner at this place was like living in one of those boring Wii games that mimicked real life, except in real life it was fun!
Not to mention they had enormous beers.
I know that, as far as food goes, this place was never worth it. There are probably more than a handful of better sushi places a ten minute walk or less from here. Eating is more than just taste, though, and I remember East Japanese for the novelty, for the fun, for the dates, for seeing Ryan hung over with a huge hand print on his face. In short, for the memories.
