This might have been the last time I've been to the Brooklyn Brewery. It was a half-day Friday, and since the brew-pub doesn't open until 2 we had lunch and drinks at probably the Blind Pig on 14th street. It was clearly a day I had to do laundry because I'd worn my red-paint-splattered Zombie Hunter t-shirt that says "Easy E" on the back to work.
For the uninitiated, the Brooklyn Brewery brew pub is kind of a shit show. You buy $5 beer tokens and sample several varieties of Brooklyn beers while sitting at round cafeteria tables in what is essentially a warehouse - with warehouse acoustic. It's loud, and raucous, and hopefully you don't have to sit next to the table of frat dudes playing quarters. Not that I have anything against quarters, per se.
I sound pretty down on it now, but at the time it was fairly fun. Sit around, drink some beers that are not a great deal, order in some pizza, and possibly spot the brewery's cat. On good days, like the one pictures, the Ben and Jerry's truck might be parked outside. Now that I think about it, I do think I've been there since taking this picture. Twice. We didn't stay long, but the folks still in their early-middle 20s looked like they were having a great time.
